The Alberta Beach Agricultural Society was formed in February 1975. Originally it was put in place to sponsor and promote horticultural and farming within the community through lectures, demonstrations, annual bench shows, farmers markets and 4H among other things. Today as our dedicated community has evolved, so too has the function of the Ag Society. We still promote and support "country values" by way of our farmers market, but we also offer other activities. We contribute to our annual Polynesian days (see events information) and Sno Mo Days festivities as well as hosting our Annual Octoberfest Party drawing a lively crowd from the surrounding community to enjoy music and dancing. In the fall and winter months we provide a monthly afternoon movie for families to come sit back and enjoy a show with some fresh hot buttered popcorn.

The AG Society also provides scholarships to students post secondary educations (see scholarships) and bursaries to our local junior high students at Grasmere School. As with all organizations we are always looking to add fresh faces and new ideas to enhance our community. If you can spare an hour or so once a month (Sept - June) please consider joining us and help give back to our ever growing community. We meet on the 4th Thursday of the month at 7:30 pm @ the Agliplex or call Barb 780-924-9995.
